Why Water is Important

Water is the most fundamental nutrient your body needs. Water constitutes two-thirds of our body's overall mass. Therefore, the fact that our bodies rely so heavily upon water should not be overlooked.
Needless to say, water intake is critical for our good health, in various ways, both obvious and extremely subtle. Food digestion, joint movement, and the protection of several tissues are all dependent upon water consumption. Drinking water has proven its ability t o process and store fats. That said, it is mission-critical to determine how to get your body the nutrients it needs.

Water allows each body part to complete, to the best of its ability, each of their functions. It is rare, for someone to understand the ways in which water contributes to the health of their joints. Each joint within the body carries with it a thin layer of carpet. This natural protection cushions the areas between the bones. Arthritis has been known to be caused by severe dehydration. Water protects the gastrointestinal tract, which is important in order to spare the spine from damage.

What are the merits of water? If you're thirsty, keep in mind, your body is already dehydrated. Dehydration causes plenty of unpleasant effects on the body. The body overcompensates significantly when it is deprived of adequate water. Fat cannot be properly processed without the use of water. The kidney and liver become incapable of functioning properly. By increasing your water intake, your body is better equipped to handle and metabolize fat.

A healthy lifestyle naturally leads to a higher consumption of water; by making smaller changes along the way, you'll most likely include water consumption into the mix. Dehydration can exacerbate preexisting problems such as ulcers, dizziness, disorientation, etc. If, for some reason, you do not receive enough water, your body will react. Enzymatic reactions pulsate throughout the body, which may be shocking to the system. The lymphatic system, responsible for ushering nutrients through the blood stream, critically depends upon an adequate intake of water.

To estimate how much water you'll need, take your weight and slice it in half. For example, someone who weighs 200 pounds needs, approximately 100 ounces of water, daily. If you weigh more, adjust according. Also, if you're an athlete or very active, remember that you'll need to consume more water.
Another suggestion: Warm water digests more quickly that cold, so opt for room-temperature, if possible. Examine your urine if you need to better judge your water intake. A lighter color indicates a healthier consumption of water. Don't skimp on your water intake; your body will thank you.
